The night before I went to Penang, I went to Rum Jungle Ipoh, clubbing with my friends which we've never been clubbing together for almost 3 years.

The uncrowded night is something way to relaxing with spacious floor for everyone to dance to the housemusic.

These are my friends that treating themselves with 2 bottle of Chivas Regal and I just sip a coke as I have to drive North on the next morning. Do you buy me? Haha!

Like elder brother like the younger. Which is my younger brother? Haha. Too bad for a divorcee like him, indulged in clubbing atmosphere in his late 20s, almost a decade after he derogatorily smack me with his words when I was all out with my clubbing and drinking habits.

Anyway, I had a nice time being with them and enthusiasticly considering the next gathering session.

Warm wishes to all Malaysian that sharing the idea of : we are the only nation that having 4 calendar system with 3 lunatic and 1 gregorian.

The less known fact is, Muslim's days changed when the sun sets down and the Maghrib prayers being recalled. This is quite similar to the Judaism culture which having the day change by the sunset, while the trend of the Christians, that promoted the today's gregorian, days changed by the midnight.

Another interesting fact is, the beginning of hijri new year in a particular year automaticly befall 10 or 11 days earlier than the yesteryear on the gregorian date set. Compare with Chinese lunatic year and Tamil lunatic year, Islamic calendar never add up a 13th month in every 3 years period, which being added to ensure the calendar stick to the yearly seasons.

This history was related to the idea of letting the Muslims to experience various occasion without being related to the seasons. Haj pilgrimage may come in winter and in other time of the rotational span, may be experienced in extream desert summer.

So do the fasting month and all Muslim's major religious festivals.

One might being critical on how Muslims could have an efficient historical record on perodical versus environmental kind of data archiving. But since the rotation will complete in 33 years time, any date of occasions that should it had a neccessity on weather or environmental relativity record, it could be seen in a wider period which is more better to be used in a future projection especially in managing corps, finance, and population.

Whatever it is, each of us here in Malaysia regardless their race and religion, should togather enjoying the new year for Muslims but of course being subjected to a feasible manner of celebrating it.

Despite the Ipoh's Rum Jungle DJ that shouting to the crowds last Saturday night in what most Malay majority patrons feel as offensive : "LETS MEET TOMORROW TO CELEBRATE AWAL MUHARRAM EVE!!"; which was replied with sounds of busting glass here and there, a wish for Hijri New Year is much more accepted even with a heartacheful words of "LETS MEET TOMORROW TO CELEBRATE THE CHANGE THAT MIGHT COME TO OUR MUSLIMS FRIENDS IN HERE SO THAT WE WILL HAVE THEM HERE IN THE FUTURE, WITHOUT IN DRUNKER THAN THE DRUNKEST MODE!"

Aye! Muslims might go beyond the Islamic rules but verily, they will feel disturbed if the religion itself being in unbeliever's words of disparage. Can anyone respect the right of being sensitive on things that might be not to others? I can kick any cat's butt if I found them peeing on my car's wheelcap but I just respect the right of being sensitive if I would not commit that in front of SPCA officials. Or I might just utter " Oh! How nice to have my car choosen as their territory!" in wholly hipocrisy.

Anyway, may 1430 brought a cheerful life with an ample grace and a beautiful guide light to the repentant path.

It was built on an evenly formatted land. The building is almost complete. The one who pay the contractor keep on observing the works. Pending completion, lot of commotions taken places.

It going to be two sense of interpretation that could applied.

Firstly, a contractor that doing his job perfectly both in time scale and the quality, keep on arguing the client’s monetary background straightforwardly and made the client thinking on abandoning the project in irritation. Abandon. Not because they intended to reopen the bid. It means that the client still have faith on the one they appointed before not only to build, but also to maintain.

Secondly, the contractor that sustained doing their job perfectly and patiently to abide a lucrative contract from a so-called perfectionist client. At the final superficial stage, the client questioned the whole profound job as to say that it was a lousy masonry maneuver. The contractor is completely annoyed and call for adjourment but facing refusal.

I never found it easy for me to classify both us in which of both situations in comparison.

I'm looking for this 10,000th visitor from Johor Bahru. Please contact me to redeem a return ticket KL - Ipoh - KL by train that worth RM20.00. Congratulation to the lucky visitor.

It less than a fortnight away from the first day of year 2009 which was the year that predicted as the downturn year. But I don’t care much on that. I’m still far away from the business community. Doesn’t mean that I’m feeling secured too much with my job that being paid with the taxpayer’s money, in overall, I feel that I should focused on my job now more than before in promoting healthy life and smoothen the delivery system.

Life
From the very first hour of New Year 2008, I was thinking on the jovial rhapsody of the brand new days in the brand new year that I supposedly ‘impose’ on my life despite sorrows that attached. Days counting and life enjoyed at every stake allocated. I was influenced with so called fag-hag for months until the MLM done us apart. No thanks to Lampe Berger. In May, I bought a Perodua Viva, a 1000cc compact car which I drove on the first time as a person that for years never steer any wheels. For the first 8000km, I felt proud with the fact that, I’m a driver without valid driving license. But a few hours after I successfully passed my driving test, a car crushed on my car’s buttock in Ampang on July 11. Isn’t it ironic? By the end of August, I met Wan which is now, being my honey despite tens of commotion that we went through in the process of knowing each other. I fall into his sincerity beside few other things that might never work for a relationship. But we are working hard to regulate everything. To date, I believe that we had passed through phases that even a year old relationship had not gone through it yet.

Work
At the early stage of 2008, I was kept in nuisance over the sub-division that I was putted as the person who accountable for the distribution plan. I then switched the responsibility with my colleague that held the same post as me but far younger. This is due to the mishap that I experienced when my 2 month old car involved in an accident which has hampered the efficiency of my authority on managing the sub-division. And now, this green boy is whining more than I ever did before. :-P

Family
My mom and dad now had a bending thought on my bachelorship. My younger brother is now a divorcee and thus, I could make them realized that I never going to seek marriage for the reason of happiness. After me rejecting my mom’s proposal to get me a wife which is her friend’s daughter, she had lowered down the tune now at least for few years ahead. Haha.

Friends
Oh my. Friends are comforter, and friends might be a poisonous inhaler. But being wise about friends since the day I left my house for the playground to seek friends back in 1983, I could say that I’m not a ‘beruk tunggal’ that only try to make friends with anyone recently. I love having PLU friends from G4M and straight friends of my hometown and workplace. The serious fact is, straight friends never act like girls of the girl’s school. They don’t bother to create camps and gangs and influenced people. They wish to be as neutral as they could be and back stabbing is something that beyond necessity. Besides three quarter of persons that I knew through G4M which I could describe as those with ‘high plasticity index’ of attitude, I’m happy to be with the remaining quarter that always can be trusted and decent like Azward, Khaile, Eddie Meksin, Yama, Amar, Benster, Isk, Kuzuto, Chumie and many more. Yes, 3 out of 4 are completely kiddo.

2009 Anticipation
I wish that I can keep my weight below 80kg. I also wish that I can overcome obstacles so I could further my study.

I was on my way to Mutiara Damansara just now when I passed the Touch N Go toll gantry at Ampang-KL Elevated Highway. I was tailing a Toyota Alphard which I would say, driven by another Malaysian.

I will boldly note the racial classification of the driver if I could see the driver.

The toll gate had a malfunction moment when I saw it vertically positioned which is I never alerted. Only when the Toyota Alphard lowering the speed whilst passing the scanning unit without flashing its card, I knew that it was a chance to experience a freeway moment of the elevated highway.

But I never feel that I should do the same. I stop and flash my card to get RM1.50 being deducted. I used the facility with my Viva and it was my moral obligatory to pay for the service. After all, it just RM1.50.

Then I have a close thought in my mind, why on earth we have this skinny rich people in this country? It more less showing to me that some loaded people are taking the obligation of paying RM1.50 for granted.

Maybe they feel that they had pay enough in form of taxes but will that makes them feel that they have the right to run away avoiding the RM1.50 charge?

Coldplay

Come up to meet ya, tell you I'm sorry
You don't know how lovely you are
I had to find you, tell you I need ya
And tell you I set you apart
Tell me your secrets, and nurse me your questions
Oh lets go back to the start
Running in circles, coming in tails
Heads on a science apart

Nobody said it was easy
It's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be this hard
Oh take me back to the start

I was just guessing at numbers and figures
Pulling the puzzles apart
Questions of science, science and progress
Do not speak as loud as my heart
And tell me you love me, come back and haunt me
Oh and I rush to the start
Running in circles, chasing tails
Coming back as we are

Nobody said it was easy
Oh it's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be so hard
I'm going back to the start

This evening I was trembled by the fact that I found while aviating on the Sabah skyline through Google Earth. A 6.2 in Richter Scale earthquake with 33 km depth had once shook somewhere near Lahad Datu in July 26, 1976, a day before the deadly Tangshan earthquake that resulted in the loss of life of over 650,000 persons in northeast China.

The 6.2 earthquake with such depth should cause mass destruction as similar as the Yogjakarta 2005. But the main reason of this event had not taken into our geographic history is, there is no casualty reported and maybe the tremor hits an uninhabitant region or the destruction is minor due to the rural and underdeveloped environs.

The bothersome fact is that Sabah, is counting days on the next earthquake and the impact on the occurrence then shall be difference with the 1976 earthquake due to the recent development of new structures and facilities. By now, the Ministry of Education should stop shoving down the pupil’s throat with the deceiving fact of “Malaysia is not exposed to the tectonic activities”.

Supremacy! What kind of load does this word carries. When all the non-Malay community talking on ‘Malay Supremacy’ which is actually an idiom for ‘Malay as the largest portion of race pie in this country’, a lot of ultra-Malay citizen feel disturbed. The point to ponder on is always the fact that most of non-Malay citizen are not well versed with Malay idioms. This phrase is actually assumed to be figures of speech that contradict the principle of compositionality. Why they did not get it? No thanks to vernacular system adapted.

How about having 90% of Chinese section programs in Cantonese here in this country! We have Hakka, Teochew, Hinghwa, Hainan, Hokkien, Hockchew and we know that the Mandarin is the official Chinese language in Malaysia. Cantonese is widely used at sites, important and prolific meetings of Chinese company, on TV, at pasar malam, at Petaling Street and enforcing all Chinese getting to know Cantonese. It should be noted that although Cantonese is among the oldest language in China, the people of Kwangtung are actually the latter coming to the Peninsula and to date, only represent 23% of the Chinese population. What if we call it as “Cantonese Supremacy”?

Also the “Tamil Supremacy” on Indian people in this country. As Punjabi, Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Ceylonese was also Indian, do they feel that they are forced to accept the Tamil language is the language of the Indian? If they did not, maybe they are not brave enough to query the reason why Tamil education system is chosen to represent the Indian community. Furthermore, India itself is having Hindustani as the official language. Why don’t the Tamil people give up their ‘supremacy’ that overshadowing the all-Indian rights and start having Hindustani as the language of Indian community?

The answer is simple. The majority is actually brings together the rest into a post-result of racial assemblage which is definitely favoring the largest part of the people. Like Kedah give up the Siamese language, Bugis is not having Bugisian news on telly, Banjar people never have their own newspaper and Javanese are not entitled their own radio station and each of ethnic of East Hindi in this country is answering the call for unity and used Malay Language as their inter-ethnic language. Nothing such Javanese is superior than the Minangkabau or Johor-Riau is better to Kedah. The Malay Language is chosen after Indonesia choosing it and called it Bahasa Indonesia. No ethnic is supreme above the others.

So, when will the “Tamilization” and “Cantonization” will ever end? If that was not a superiority of one over the others, what it was actually is? Instead of dancing on the rhythm of the politic polemics, why don’t they spend more time learning the Malay Language and get their comprehension right on the nature of the language itself that having idioms as the precedence of beautifying the way to address.

With the current issue of the landslide, do read my letter to the editor of Utusan Malaysia that has been published today, 9th December 2008 in the Forum section of the daily. I don't wish to paste it here because I really want Utusan to get off the boycott campaign. LOL.

NORMAL OCCURRENCE

A) Soil that slip down from failed slope piled up on the solid ground and bury houses.

B) The Ground Water Table is evenly leveled by the flat nature of the lower ground.

C) The formation of the solid ground and the almost horizontal level of ground water are mostly made by the position of the substratum that shaping the contour.

D) The underground water flows down rapidly by the force of gravity to conjoin the stable ground water level.

BUKIT ANTARABANGSA DEC 6 LANDSLIDE
A) Faulty slope slip with the water movement down beneath the top soil. Houses lifted, moved away and dreadful damage of the top soil tore the buildings and may lift the lawn higher than the rooftop.

B) The soft ground enables the water to create porosity and thus pulling down the slope into, together with the downward ground water movement.

C) The substratum of the surface level is still sloping down and the whole flat land above is not properly located on flat bedding, thus exposing the whole area to massive earth movement.

D) The ground water flows down with the bedrock as the datum by the force of gravity to conjoin the stable ground water level which technically located somewhere lower.

THE REASON WHY..

The most probable reason is the process of development that create artificial waterways which has eliminate the natural stream of a virgin land. The natural stream, by it nature that made by the bedrocks, creates a water current beneath the surface of the original stream. When the soil get saturated, the gravity will caused the volume to release the energy that refrained to move all this while by the short of total faulty factor. This might caused by rain and also man made factor such as leaking pipe, drainage or sanitary system in a long term basis.

Massive landslide turns 14 houses into rubbles yesterday and left the owners loosing millions of ringgit worth of residency in Bukit Antarabangsa, 6 km from my house. 4 people found dead while another victim was still missing. I can't imagine how the victims dealing with the fact that their mansion, cars, valuables are awfully terrorized by the force of the nature. It really dwarfed the sadness on spoilt of tens of thousand ringgit furniture, chandeliers, bedroom sets, carpets, glazing marbles and more than what you could imagine, a must for a bungalow furnishing.

Landslides occurred not only on developed hill slopes. It also happens anywhere in hilly landscape covered by virgin forest due to the natural occurrence of extra torrential rain that pours and raising up the ground water exceeding the normal level. The gravity will force the water to move down and if the cohesive factor of the soil is low and the porosity is homogeny, nothing would stop the water to brought mass quantity of soil slipping down along with it downward movement.

Whenever earth slips onto one's property, the typical attitude always made development as the main point of the blame game. In fact, why should we put ourselves in risk if we actually know the probable consequence? There is nothing to do with the property owner. Nobody cares on the necessity of doing an extra study on geology whenever they want to purchase a house unless one's willing to be labeled as extra-paranoia. Most people swallow all the assurance shoved down their throat by the developers.

Lets read what I’ve wrote to Utusan Malaysia back on 12 June 2005, when a landslide affecting few residence of Taman Zooview :

Nevertheless, I can feel the heartrending of loosing property; love ones and the aftermath trauma. I extend my condolence to those who are affected by this normal process of surface formation of the earth that always ongoing.

I successfully scaled the NSE of E2 (the southbound) with my WRG5061’s odometer in September, and beong a frequent user of Ipoh – KL fragment. Last Sunday i.e. the 30th November turned to be the northbound task for me. Unfortunately, to get to Kota Sarang Semut, a town 16km south of Alor Star, I had to get off the highway with short of 59km to complete the whole NSE scaling experience.

With this journey, I have successfully driven on 93.18% of the NSE with a total length of 820km of the whole 880km within 3 month! While most of my journey within the period doesn’t counts, the record that I’ve made shown that on Sept 1, 2008, my odometer cumulated a total of more than 16,000km and today the figure is totaling some 24,000 km. 8,000km for three month with an average of 88.18km per day. With the fuel consumption designed at 18km/litre, the car has consumed 444 litres of petrol in 90 days.

Anyway, there is nothing important about it. Haha!~

I’m here again writing. Too much issues to be analyze and some of these issues are those that best described as “ ngoh mh’ jungyhi aa “, a Cantonese phrase for “ I dont like it!”. I was bedazzled recently by the fact that I’m getting reconnected with my alma mater’s friends. Some are loosing contact for 15 years! Thanks to Facebook.

Anyway, I’m not in a mood of writing. Sometimes, you might found bombastic words in here and sometime the whole posting is a ‘raw material’ that at least for the designed purpose, delivers the message clean and clear.

For perfectionist out there, give some space for flaws as what we have there in our real life. You might have big comfy cars, but when you waive down a taxi cab, you wouldn’t get a red and white Vios that will stop to accommodate you. (Although I found one Vios cab in Ipoh... hahhaha)

Let things move from crawl to toddle, from walk to run. Speed-up your car while you are not in hurries is a gas wasting and never a time saver when you are actually wasting it there upon arriving.
